The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premier event for raising funds to save lives from the number one and number five causes of death in the United States: heart disease and stroke.
Kent State University faculty, staff, students, friends, family and community members are invited to join TEAM KENT STATE on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8:30-11 a.m. for the Akron Heart Walk at the University of Akron Stile Athletics Field House, located at 384 Carroll St. in Akron.
Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that is fun and rewarding for the whole family. All funds raised by Kent State walkers will support life-saving efforts such as research, education, advocating for better health, improving patient care and reaching populations at risk. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
