We are currently in the second week of Open Enrollment, which closes Nov. 3 at 4:59 p.m. Each year in the fall, benefits-eligible employees may select and make changes to their health coverage plans based on their needs and the needs of their family. Outside a qualifying life event, this will be the only window during which such changes may be made. Note that all benefits-eligible employees are strongly encouraged to go through Open Enrollment as some benefits selections do not carry over without the employee's annual approval.

Key Things to Remember
- Clicking on the Open Enrollment Banner in FlashLine will direct you to the 2024 Open Enrollment web pages, where you will find important information concerning your 2024 health care plans and more.
- Each time you access the 2024 Open Enrollment Portal, you must click “Save and Finish 2024 Open Enrollment” to ensure your most recent changes/updates are saved for the 2024 plan year.
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) require an election each calendar year. If you do not make an election, you will not have an FSA account for 2024. If you want to participate in a healthcare or dependent care FSA during calendar year 2024, you must access the Open Enrollment portal to make that election, even if you had an account in 2023.
- Health Savings Accounts (HSA) require an election each calendar year. If you elect the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and want contributions to your HSA, you must access the Open Enrollment portal to complete your enrollment, even if you have an existing account in 2023. Remember, the university is also contributing to your HSA ($1,100 – single coverage, $2,000 - family coverage).
- Access the healthcare modeler tool available to help you choose a plan that works best for you and your family.
- Visit the 2024 Open Enrollment website for more information on your health care plans and other benefits for the 2024 benefits plan year.

Upcoming Open Enrollment and Wellness Fair Dates
To aid in your 2024 coverage decision-making, the Benefits team will hold Open Enrollment and Wellness fairs at each campus. The fair is an opportunity for employees to learn more about the benefits available to them. The Employee Benefits and Wellness teams, as well as representatives from the University’s various benefits providers, will be present to answer questions. Biometric screenings and flu shots will also be available on those days.
