What Are the Details for the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony?

Kent State University will hold its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Kent Student Center Kiva.

The program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include:

  • A flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the Army and Air Force ROTC programs on the Student Green at Risman Plaza at 10:30 a.m.
  • National anthem performed by Momentum, a Kent State student organization.
  • Remarks from Kent State President Beverly J. Warren.
  • Guest speaker Maj. Russell Galeti Jr., a 2005 graduate of Kent State who has more than 20 years of ongoing service in the Ohio Army National Guard. He serves as the Civil-Military Partnerships Officer in the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.
