Community Health Worker Certifications

The College of Public Health offers two certifications for community health workers:

  • Community Health Worker Training Program
  • Community Health Worker Supervision Undergraduate Certificate

Community Health Worker Training Program

Kent State College of Public Health offers community health worker (CHW) certification as for-credit college coursework that counts toward an undergraduate degree in public health. Those who successfully complete the program, and are certified by the Ohio Board of Nursing can begin working as a CHW.
