Kent State University's Minor in Peace and Conflict Studies provides students with a foundational understanding of the dynamics of conflict and the principles of peacebuilding. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the program explores topics such as conflict resolution, human rights, social justice, and nonviolent strategies for addressing disputes. Students gain valuable skills in mediation, negotiation, and critical thinking, preparing them to engage thoughtfully in addressing conflicts in their personal, professional, and community lives. This minor complements a wide range of majors and equips graduates for careers in fields such as international relations, social work, education, and advocacy, empowering them to contribute to peacebuilding efforts on both local and global scales.
