Student Leader Advisory Board

S.L.A.M. Dinner with Diacon
The Student Leader Advisory Board Members (SLAM) offer advice on key campus issues directly to the Senior Vice President for Student Life. Convening monthly throughout the academic year, the board deliberates on emerging institutional priorities, campus challenges, and student solutions. Through this collaborative framework, member insights directly inform the Division of Student Life's strategic objectives, services, and overall success.

About S.L.A.M.

The Student Leadership Advisory Board Members (SLAM) were established Fall 2024 to bring a diverse group of student leaders together to engage in dialogue focused on enhancing our Kent State community. The Board consists of student organizations representing religious, cultural, political, social, and advocacy organizations. The members are expected to share insights, collaborate on initiatives and tackle difficult and complex issues that occur in our campus community.

By fostering open and consistent communication, SLAM is expected to cultivate an environment where every voice is heard and valued. While each leader serves different students and serves as advocates for different issues, each makes meaningful contributions to our university community.
Convened by Dr. Eboni Pringle, Senior Vice President for Student Life, SLAM brings together a diverse cohort of undergraduate and graduate student leaders from across campus to engage in dialogue.

What SLAM Members Do
