The Division of Student Affairs encompasses over 25 departments and offices with staff who are committed to supporting all students in their endeavors, in and out of the classroom. Central to the work within the division is a commitment to the vision and mission of Kent State University. All members of the division work to provide a broad and fulfilling student experience.
To better fulfill its mission, the Division of Student Affairs underwent a reorganization in July 2020. The functional areas were aligned into four pillars that represent the vital foundation for student development and success. The pillars provide students and the university community with opportunities for self, social, and community development. Through the advancement of awareness, identity, agency, advocacy, involvement, engagement, service, and stewardship, these efforts enhance the learning environment and promote student success. All members of the Division of Student Affairs commit to being student-ready by cultivating a comprehensive living and learning experience at Kent State University.
Stay tuned throughout the week as we highlight the four pillars within the Division of Student Affairs and explain how they all play a pivotal role in providing students a world-class experience.
