Planting bulbs on Daffodil Hill has become part of Kent State's annual Veteran's Day Commemoration. 

As part of Kent State University’s annual Veterans Day Commemoration, cadets from the university’s ROTC programs joined staff from University Facilities Management and other volunteers on the site of the May 4, 1970, tragedy to plant daffodil bulbs.

The goal of the Golden I vigil was to acknowledge that the Israeli people who were brutally murdered were real people with real lives, said Rose Martyn, vice president of Golden I.

Kent State University paid formal tribute to all those who have served in the U.S. armed forces at its annual Veterans Day Commemoration. 

Voting is under way this Election Day, with students heading to the Beverly Warren Recreation Center among other voting locations to cast their ballots on issues like reproductive health and the legalization of cannabis, as well as various school board and levy decisions. 

Kent State's commitment to mental health is on display in a walk-through installation in the Kent Student Center.

Kent State University invites all to pay tribute to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces and attend the university’s annual Veterans Day Commemoration. The event will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Student Green on the Kent Campus.

“Rising Scholars is a great program for our local youth,” said Paul Dykshoorn, academic program director for Rising Scholars at Kent State Tuscarawas. “We mentor each student throughout their middle school and high school years. We teach them life lessons as well as help with issues going on at school.”
