Trans Day of Remembrance at The Rock 2024

Nov. 20 the National Trans Day of Remembrance. Members of Kent State's LGBTQ+ community and allies honored trans lives lost with observances on campus.

Kent State University’s Native American Student Association (NASA) recognized Orange Shirt Day, or the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, by engaging with the campus community and initiating discussions about the legacy of residential schools and the generational trauma they caused.

Every year, mid-September to mid-October marks Hispanic Heritage Month. Kent State University collaborations commemorate the month-long celebration and Hispanic culture, kicking off the celebration was "Voices & Rhythms: A Night of Discussion and Dance."

Convocation 2024

The Class of 2028 is both strong in size and in academic success, boasting an outstanding 3.61 GPA. It's the largest incoming class to the Kent Campus since 2019 and the eighth-largest incoming class in the university's 114-year history. 

Medcamp Program

Each summer, the Northeast Ohio Medical University hosts MEDCAMP, a transformative three-day program designed to stimulate the interest of students in basic sciences and the field of medicine.

The annual "Zombie Apocalypse" event, presented by Kent State Navigators early in the fall semester, offers a fun activity for students.

The new Sensory Wellbeing Space on the Kent Campus.

A space inside the Speech and Hearing Clinic has been renovated to serve as the new Sensory Wellbeing Space where neurodiverse students and their allies can find a welcoming and inclusive environment for gathering or study.
