The first on-campus Farmers' Market of spring arrived on Tuesday in the DI Hub.
This summer, Kent State University will host faculty from the Center for Koru Mindfulness for a three-day teacher certification workshop at its Kent Campus. This training, which will take place from Aug. 1-3, will equip trainees with the skills that they need to teach Koru Mindfulness, an evidence-based curriculum specifically designed for emerging adults.
The 2019 Larry Pollock Kent State of Wellness Summit will take place on Wednesday, April 3, from 5-8 p.m. at the Kent Student Center Ballroom with the theme “State of Mind: Creating a Community of Health, Hope and Awareness.”
Kent State University’s strategic focus on the health and well-being of students is receiving national recognition. Active Minds, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising mental health awareness among college students, announced Kent State as a winner of the prestigious 2018 Healthy Campus Award.
Kent State University will become a smoke-free, tobacco-free campus beginning July 1. The new policy is part of the university’s healthy campus initiative, Kent State of Wellness.
