With Halloween approaching, festivities will be in full swing this weekend at Kent State University and downtown Kent. “Halloweekend” can be full of treats, but you never know what tricks will arise when it comes to safety. Sgt. Tricia Knoles gives her top safety tips, and discusses how her team will be working to keep students safe this holiday weekend.  

"Coloring for Calmness" is one of several "de-stress" events hosted by Student Accessiblity Services (SAS). 

Service dogs and their trainers were the stars of a de-stressing event at the University Library. 

Elie Haoui has made a name for himself through his viral TikToks, where he is known as the “College Guy.” Haoui is currently traveling to different universities in Ohio to film humorous videos with college students. Kent State University was one of his most recent stops. 

Based on ideas, design and experiential learning, IdeaBase is celebrating 10 years of being powered by Kent State University students with a showcase of student work from over the years in the gallery on the second floor of the DI Hub through Oct. 26.

An aviation-themed hackathon brings together students from all disciplines and challenges them to develop solutions for real-world aerospace challenges. 

Kent State University's Sex Week begins today. Kent Interhall Council has been putting together a week of “Wild West” style events educating students about sex. 

With more than 370 majors to choose from at Kent State, it can be overwhelming for some students to choose their major and career path for them.  This October the Exploratory Advising Center is hosting its first-ever Exploration Month to help exploratory students find their interests and explore the different majors and opportunities Kent State offers.

It all started in 2014 with a political button from Ross Perot’s failed 1992 presidential election bid. 

A new event on campus seeks to offer support and community for students who have lost loved ones.
