Kent State researchers are looking for 10,000 students to participate in an ambitious Student Life Study launching this semester. 

Classes for Fall Semester 2023 at Kent State began on Monday.

President Todd Diacon welcomed the Class of 2027 during a colorful and festive Convocation celebration, encouraging students to embrace the spirit of the university’s core values. A relatively new tradition on the Kent Campus, Convocation not only serves to get students excited for the start of their academic careers at Kent State but also to introduce the students to the deans and faculty for each of the university’s colleges.

Move-in days create excitement and emotion in everyone on campus, ahead of the start of fall classes next week. 

The Kent State University alumni family grew by nearly 1,200 new graduates as the university held its summer commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2023 were recognized with outdoor commencement ceremonies on Aug. 19.

Kent State’s Office of Admissions is seeing its hard work, creativity and strategic planning pay off by way of increased engagement and an elevated level of interest in the university.

Kent State University graduate Erik Gomez, who earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in May, spoke at Spring Commencement about his journey as a first-generation Latino-American student.
