Kylie Karam
Kylie Karam is a junior B.F.A. Dance Performance major with an Arts Entrepreneurship minor from Pittsburgh, PA. She is the Student Artistic Director, as well as a third-year member of the Kent Dance Ensemble. Throughout her years at Kent State, she has been able to train with and/or perform works by an esteemed group of creators, such as Hope Boykin, Amy Hall Garner, Stefanie Batten Bland, Erik Wagner, Lisa Viola, Tiffany Rea-Fisher, Ray Mercer, and Yoshito Sakuraba. Kylie has also had the opportunity to train at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Summer Program, as well as the Regional Dance America National Choreography Intensive under the direction of Peter Chu. Kylie is also a Vice President of the Student Dance Education Organization, as well as a Student Artistic Director for the 2022 faculty concert, “Shifting Landscapes.” Additionally, she is an honors student, a three-year Dean’s List recipient, and the recipient of the Xavier Atienza Scholarship, which was awarded to her by her faculty. She is ecstatic for this season and for the opportunity to work under the direction of Catherine Meredith!
