Kent State Tuscarawas brought home the school's first national championship in volleyball with a win over Penn State Hazletown in the championship match. 

The Kent State University community paid tribute to those who have served in the U.S. armed forces at the annual Veterans Day Commemoration. The program, titled “Honoring All Those Who Serve,” included a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from Kent State’s Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC programs.

Kent State University will be closed Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. No classes are scheduled, and university offices are closed.

Kent State’s School of Fashion has long fostered deep industry connections, and on Nov. 7 those partnerships were on full display as the school hosted a fashion show in Cleveland’s Flats district to launch the new all-electric Porsche Macan.

Kent State University understands the financial impact course materials have on students and is taking measures to reduce those costs to Golden Flashes. University Libraries hosted the 2024 Affordable Course Materials Summit, the fourth of its kind, aiming to promote the use of inexpensive course materials among faculty.

Today, the Kent State University Master of Public Health graduate helps to protect service members’ health and readiness as an injury epidemiologist at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton.

On Halloween, the Kent Student Center and the University Library welcomed student trick-or-treaters in the afternoon and the Flashes Activity Board held a Boo Bash later in the day. Kent State's Elvis was spotted handing out treats on Risman Plaza. 

One of the first projects that Muna Koirala had to tackle in her first semester in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design was the movement of a flying object.
