Kent State Museum Hosts "Millie" Preview, Flapper Lecture
The Kent State University Museum and School of Theatre and Dance are teaming up to present a unique event celebrating the perennial glamor and allure of the 1920s. This special program on Feb. 17 is presented in conjunction with the museum’s “Flapper Style: 1920s Fashion” exhibit and Kent State’s production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” The event will include a short preview of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” by members of the cast, followed by a talk by “Flapper Style” curator Sara Hume, Ph.D.

Kent State Receives Contribution From AT&T to Improve Mobile Technologies for Special Education
AT&T has made a $200,000 contribution to Kent State University’s Research Center for Educational Technology to implement new technology in special education environments with a focus on mobile apps, including those intended to help students learn science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).

Kenneth Burhanna, assistant dean for University Libraries, was appointed Fellow of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). Burhanna is one of 28 people selected to serve in the 2016-2017 academic year. The ARL Leadership Fellows program is an executive-level leadership program designed to inspire and develop future leaders of ARL member institutions.
