Daphne Peters
Biography
Daphne is an Assistant Professor with a focus in three dimensional design in the School of Visual Communication Design at Kent State University. She teaches students 3D form-building and the integration of type and image in projects that range from packaging to environmental graphics. She also works with students of all levels to help them understand the fundamentals of design and develop graphic and strategic solutions to complex problems.
Daphne has a global perspective of graphic design, having both worked and studied in several countries. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University and worked professionally in Chicago for a number of years. She then earned Masters of Design and Art Direction from Elisava, Escola Superior de Disseny in Barcelona, Spain. While in Barcelona, Daphne worked on retail, identity, environmental and web design before becoming a senior designer and strategist at UXUS in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
