Neuromaterials and Computational Neuroscience

Neuromaterials and Computational Neuroscience is a primary focus of the following BHRI members' research:

Elda Hegmann, Ph.D.

The focus of our research group is the use of liquid crystals (LCs) and Liquid Crystal Elastomers (LCEs) for biological applications, biosensors for optical imaging, imaging of biological cells and study their behaviour on scaffolds.

Torsten Hegmann, Ph.D.

Research in our group focuses on nanomaterials (organic, metallic, semiconductor and magnetic) and nanomaterial surface modification for applications in or better of chirality transfer, self-assembly, sensing and interactions with cells and tissue.

Tsung-Heng Tsai, Ph.D.

My research focuses on developing statistical tools for the analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets, with an emphasis on applications of high-throughput omic technologies.
