Thinking About Studying Abroad?

Open to students who are thinking about studying abroad or are about to, this series of events held in mid-September encourages you to engage with study abroad alumni and KSU on various topics in international education.

Through a lively schedule of events over a full week you’ll learn more about education abroad and participate in international activities on campus.

Florence and Beyond: Taking Your Psychology Education Abroad

With a little bit of planning, most psychology majors can study abroad and fulfil degree requirements during a fall, spring, or summer. Studying abroad is a fantastic opportunity to develop your perspective-taking and empathy for others. During this session, you will have the chance to ask questions about your specific situation and how and where you can explore your interests around the world.

The Global Health Immersion course provides a unique opportunity for those studying public health to spend a summer in Europe, soaking up new cultures and enhancing your knowledge of international health policy and practices. Attend this information session to learn more!

Florence Health Institute Showcase

Attend this information session to learn more about the Florence Health Institute in Italy. This interprofessional one-month summer education abroad experience allows students pursuing careers in health-related fields to earn seven credits as they study and experience firsthand the healthcare differences between the United States and Europe. In addition to your lectures, you'll have the opportunity to tour health facilities and learn from experts in the field.

From deciding which education abroad program is the best fit for you to applying for a passport, deciding what to pack, navigating airports and more, join the Education Abroad team for tips and resources to prepare you as an adaptable and organized first-time traveler. Whether you've never left your hometown or have traveled before and you're looking for some extra guidance, we're here to help!

School of Fashion Study Away Day

All fashion students planning to study away/abroad are encouraged to come to the annual Study Away Day to hear about updates, new programs, and information about the 7 destinations for fashion students. It will be in Murphy Auditorium in the Kent State Museum on the 2nd floor from 9 am-3 pm. It will also be live-streamed.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate Program

Please join the TEFL Certificate program coordinator, practicum advisors and KSU students who have already earned the TEFL Certificate for a showcase of the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate Program. We will discuss program features, such as the 4 core classes, your personal KSU roadmap, and the hands-on teaching practicum held in Florence, Italy, at KSU's Florence campus. Speak with past participants and receive answers to any questions you might have. Thanks for joining us!
