OGE’s signature event, the International Cook-Off Competition is held during International Education Week. The Cook-Off is scheduled for Thursday, November 21st, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Hosted by the Office of Global Education and supported by Kent State Dining Services, the Cook-Off will feature food and beverages from around the world. The event is open to everyone and the fantastic food is free!
The cook-off will feature student culinary teams, who will compete as finalists in the competition. Each team will prepare and present a different cultural entrée from their home country or region. The teams will compete for first-, second- and third-place awards, which will be determined by a team of judges. In addition, the Cook-Off’s attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorite team and recipe for the People’s Choice Award. The announcements of the first, second and third place, as well as the People's Choice winners, will occur at approximately 7:20 p.m.
