Biography

Thomas Mis is a lecturer in the School of Emerging Media and Technology at Kent State University, where he is also pursuing an M.F.A. in Visual Communication Design. He holds an M.S. in Software Engineering from Cleveland State University and a B.S. in Computer Science from John Carroll University. 

With extensive experience in the tech industry, Thomas has held Technical Program Management and Software Development roles at Amazon, Sony, and Microsoft. His projects included developing the Prime Gaming program, PlayStation cloud services and the Xbox user interface. At Kent State, Thomas focuses on the intersection of software and design, integrating technology into creative processes. He guides students in applying their technical skills to creative projects, bridging the gap between technical expertise and innovation.
