Laura Caparanis
Biography
As an academic advisor, Laura is available to assist students in The Fashion School with achieving academic goals, scheduling courses, and questions regarding curriculum, academic progress, graduation requirements, and Kent State’s academic policies and procedures. In addition, Laura assists all students eligible for graduation within The Fashion School to ensure all graduation requirements are met and to support their transition to graduation.
Laura remains an active member of Kent Academic Support and Advising Association (KASADA), Ohio Academic Advising Associate (OHAAA) and National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).
Laura graduated from The University of Findlay with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Kent State University with a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel. Laura previously worked as an admissions counselor for Kent State in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. As an admissions counselor, Laura helped prospective incoming freshman and transfer students through the enrollment and transition process to Kent State University.
