As part of this milestone year, the downtown Willoughby-based studio is expanding its services to include comprehensive real estate staging for realtors, investors, builders and homeowners looking to maximize property value and market appeal.

Founded by designer and stylist Kelly Velikonya Patel, Bold Interiors CLE has built a reputation for creating collected, curated spaces that feel deeply personal. Kelly’s work is known for evoking emotion through playful color palettes, unexpected patterns and a seamless mix of old and new. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful: design should reflect the people who live there, with heart, spirit and authenticity at the forefront.

A proud alumna of the Kent State University School of Fashion (Class of 2008), Velikonya Patel remains actively connected to her alma mater. She has served as a part-time instructor at the School of Fashion and is also one of the founding board members of the School of Fashion Alumni Board, supporting mentorship, programming and professional development for emerging creatives.

“Every home tells a story,” says Velikonya Patel. “Our job is to listen, really listen, and create spaces that reflect our clients’ lives, personalities and aspirations. The most beautiful rooms are the ones that feel like you.”

Over the past five years, Bold Interiors CLE has grown into one of the top stylists, decorators and designers in the Northeast Ohio region. The studio takes pride in being active listeners, working across a range of aesthetics and design styles, from modern and transitional to traditional and eclectic, always tailoring each project to the client’s vision.

In 2024 and 2025, Velikonya Patel served as a contributing interior designer for the Lake County YMCA Dream House, further cementing the firm’s presence as a respected creative force in the region. Her ability to balance bold interiors with livable comfort has resonated with homeowners and industry professionals alike.

With the launch of full-service staging, Bold Interiors CLE now offers strategic property styling designed to help listings stand out in a competitive market. Services include:

  • Occupied and vacant home staging

  • Cosmetic updating and selection guidance

  • Investor and builder partnerships

  • Styling for model homes and new construction

  • Design consultations to prepare homes for resale

The goal is clear: help properties sell faster and for top dollar while creating memorable, market-ready spaces that buyers connect with emotionally.
