St. Louis Public Radio recently featured Kent State University School of Fashion alumna Madeline Mehler, who designs as Umi Dreami, in the article, “Fashion designer Umi Dreami to celebrate women through runway show at St. Louis Art Museum.”
The article highlights Mehler’s 18-look collection, which will be presented Oct. 30 during SLAM Underground — Enchant at the Saint Louis Art Museum. The collection incorporates reconstructed menswear elements and examines women’s identity, representation and lived experiences through fashion.
