Biography
Paula Dancie has a B.F.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a focus on applied textile design and integrated weaving in apparel design. She also studied flat pattern and draping at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Paula has taught at the Fashion School at Kent State University since 2005 and was the recipient of the University Teaching Council's 2011 Outstanding Teaching Award.
Her industry background includes over 30 years of apparel and sewn product manufacturing for her own small business, as well as national and local firms; a U.S. Army prime defense contractor; and four years of retail fabrics management at the store and district level.
Paula currently designs and produces apparel for the Fashion School Store.
