Vince Quevedo
Biography
Vince Quevedo is an international award-winning designer/artist/author in fashion design and fiber arts. Professor Quevedo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing and Textiles and his Master of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development, focusing on college teaching at Southern Illinois University. He received his Master of Fine Arts in textiles/fiber from the University of Nebraska. Competition comes naturally to Vince Quevedo since he trained as an elite gymnast and was coached by his mother, an Olympic gymnastics coach and professor. He competed in ten gymnastics and tumbling nationals, including the NCAA, and won the top award at the USTA Nationals in 1983. He has taught at the university level since 1990. He has many years of industry experience, including owning his men's and women's contemporary design company in San Francisco and an athletic wear company in Illinois. He has four patents and has won the top design award more than anyone in the International Textile and Apparel Association’s annual design competitions. Currently, he has his fashion label: “Vinci”
