Funding your education through federal loans is a major investment in your future!
To ensure that you understand the responsibilities of borrowing a Direct Loan, the Department of Education requires all First Time Borrowers to participate in Entrance Counseling. As a part of Entrance Counseling, you will receive information regarding Direct Loans, budgeting your expenses, repayment options and your rights and responsibilities as a borrower.
To complete your Entrance Counseling, go to StudentAid.gov. Once you have reviewed the information, you can print a copy of the Rights & Responsibilities checklist that is at the end of the session for your records.
