Student Researcher Makes Scientific Discovery Involving Hope

Most people visualize test tubes and microscopes when they consider scientific research. Get a Head Start on Tier 1 Wellness Rewards this Fall

Health Screenings and Flu Vaccines Available Now

imageYour health needs shouldn't be ignored, even during a pandemic. We encourage you to check in with your doctor and keep your regularly scheduled appointments, especially for immunizations, screenings, preventive care, and chronic disease management. Employee Wellness provides options for employees to receive a flu vaccine and "Know Your Numbers" health screening. Health screenings are incentivized as part of the Wellness Your Way employee wellness rewards program.

Full-time, benefits eligible faculty and staff can get a head start on the rewards program for 2021 by working on yolur Tier 1 activities. Tier 1 activities include participating in a Know Your Numbers health screening, completing the Health Risk Assessment on the Be Well portal, and submitting a signed Consent, Waiver & Release Agreement. Participants earn a reward of $100 for completing all three Tier 1 activities between September 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021. Tier 1 payouts for the 2021 program will begin in February 2021

Employees may choose to have their health screening completed with a primary care physician, onsite with Be Well Solutions at the Kent campus, or at a LabCorp facility for regional campus employees. For more information about health screenings, including our updated onsite screening safety protocols, visit our health screening and flu vaccine web page

Flu vaccines will be available at the Kent campus screenings and are open to spouses/partners and dependent children aged 18 or older. Regional campus employees can receive a flu vaccine from their primary care physician or at a CVS Minute Clinic (covered in full under KSU's health plans). Visit our regional campus health screening page for LabCorp and CVS Minute Clinic locations.

To schedule an onsite screening or access the LabCorp or Physician Screening form, please visit the Be Well portal. If you have any questions, contact your Employee Wellness team at wellness@kent.edu or 330-672-0392.
