Personnel is the largest asset and expenditure for the university with salaries and fringe benefits comprising nearly 70 percent of the university’s budget.

The Strategic Hiring Committee (SHC) was implemented in 2017, along with the corresponding strategic hiring process as a measure to standardize the university's approach to position control and financial oversight.
