The Alumni Awards honor Kent State’s brightest alumni and students who have made an incredible impact at the university, in their profession and community. These awards are Kent State’s highest alumni honor, presented each year to just six graduates and one student in the following categories:

- Distinguished Citizen Award
- Professional Achievement Award
- Outstanding New Professional Award
- Kent State Advocacy Award
- Golden Flash Award (student award)
