ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG USE

Alcohol is the most commonly used addictive substance in the United States. Over time, excessive alcohol use can lead to numerous health problems, chronic diseases, neurological impairments, and social problems. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation, which equates to two drinks or less per day for men and one drink or less per day for women.

Alcohol and drug addiction is a preventable disease. If you are concerned that you or a family member may have a problem, Kent State can help you to address these concerns. View the resources below, which include alcohol screening opportunities and counseling services offered to Kent State employees, students, and often family members, too.
