Isabella “Bella” Rudy, a junior fashion design major with a minor in marketing, transformed nature into wearable art through an ambitious biomimicry project at the Design Innovation Hub.For her Junior Studio final project, Rudy designed an avant garde garment inspired by the King Bird of Paradise. For Summer 2026 we will recruit nine students to work on the three projects described below.
Graphs and groups (Mark Lewis)
There are several graphs naturally associated with groups. In this project, we will focus on the commuting graph and the closely related centralizer graph of a group G.
The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Kent State University will run an NSF-funded REU program from June 1 through July 24, 2026. Students will work on projects arising naturally in our faculty's research. The emphasis of the program is on independent work under close supervision of the project advisor.

A. Many factors are considered when reviewing waiver requests. If you wish to submit a waiver based on price considerations, contact the catering team first at 330-672-3305 so you can discuss your budget and your event needs with a member of the team.
The following represent the only standing exceptions to this right of first refusal:
A. All catering orders on Kent State University campuses that are below a total cost of $200.00 can be fulfilled with any catering vendor, including University Culinary Services. No waiver is required to use an off-campus catering vendor for an event with a total food cost of $200.00 or less. Further, all pizza orders (of any dollar amount) for events on Kent State University campuses can be fulfilled with any catering vendor, including University Culinary Services.
