Catie Woodward is a third-year honors student from Canton, Ohio, majoring in nursing. Though she has had many other accomplishments in her time at Kent State, Catie’s most recent success was performing undergraduate research in the nursing program. As part of her nursing major, Catie had to complete research with a nursing faculty member and present her research at a podium presentation in December of 2020. Ryan Moranelli is an upcoming spring 2021 graduate of the Kent State Honors College. He is also a member of the 2020 induction class of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society, founded in 1776. Moranelli is a political science major with minors in pre-law and psychology. Kent State was always Moranelli’s first choice for his undergraduate education. It was the first school he visited and he stated he never looked back from there. Nick Potts is an upcoming spring 2021 graduate of the Kent State Honors College. He is a computer science major. Potts said he decided to come to Kent State because of the feeling he got when he stepped on the campus. He considered it a home away from home feeling. Academic challenge was the driving factor behind Potts applying to the Honors College. “I wanted to seize all the opportunities that were thrown my way,” Potts said.
