New MAC Center 4-panel, center-hung scoreboard

  Kent State Athletics and TeleProductions collaborated to design and install a brand-new HD video display system in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center). A new 4-panel video board replaced the previous center-hung scoreboard which could only display scores and player stats. An interdisciplinary team of Kent State University professors has come together to explore the different ways virtual reality (VR) technology can help those with developmental and cognitive impairments. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, people with disabilities are among the most sedentary population in the U.S., and people with intellectual or developmental disorders are five times less likely to be physically active compared to their peers. Kendra Jobes at Disney

The name “Disney” often conjures up images of fairy tales and Mickey Mouse. But soon-to-be Kent State alumna Kendra Jobes sees a different side of the company.   Jobes, who will graduate with a Master of Science degree in user experience design (UXD) this August, recently earned a spot at Disney working as a Product Designer based in Seattle.    “At its heart, Disney is really an experience company.
