Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D., of Rootstown, Ohio, has been selected to serve as dean and chief administrative officer of Kent State University at Stark, located in North Canton, Ohio. Seachrist has served as interim dean of Kent State Stark, the only public university in Stark County and the largest Regional Campus of Kent State, since July 1, 2014. Wang received a $10,000 grant for her project Ya-Fen Wang, Ph.D., RN, MSN, assistant professor in Kent State University’s College of Nursing, is working on a one-year project to study if children’s prolonged exposure to stressful situations such as school, family or environment encourages poor eating behaviors, which can lead to childhood obesity.
