Wang received a $10,000 grant for her project Ya-Fen Wang, Ph.D., RN, MSN, assistant professor in Kent State University’s College of Nursing, is working on a one-year project to study if children’s prolonged exposure to stressful situations such as school, family or environment encourages poor eating behaviors, which can lead to childhood obesity. The Kent State University School of Communication Studies welcomes Rachel Gill and Alexa Thomas to the public relations and marketing team. Both students join the team as PR/Marketing assistants to the school.  Gill is a senior public relations major with a marketing minor and is looking forward to graduating this May.  “I’m excited to plan special events for the school and gain more insight into the world of marketing and communications as a whole,” Gill said. “I have never planned an entire event from start to finish, so I feel that will be a very rewarding experience." ...
