New York Life Whole Life Insurance for KSU Employees
Kent State University is currently offering employees the opportunity to obtain Simplified Issue Voluntary Whole Life permanent life insurance for yourself and your family, to supplement any existing benefits.
Any full time employee between ages 16 and 70 working at least 30 hours a week and actively and continuously employed for a minimum of three months, except for vacations, normal non-working days, and other absences totaling not more than five days, is eligible for the voluntary whole life insurance program through New York Life. Whole life provides cash value permanent coverage with just a few medical questions and no exams. This coverage is available to employees and their immediate families, and will stay with you should you leave employment, as long as premiums are paid when due.
Whole life will be available as follows:
- Whole Life insurance, up to a face amount of $100,000 of coverage for the employee and up to $25,000 on the spouse and children and grandchildren, if eligible.
The Whole Life Insurance Program provides the simplicity of payroll deduction, guaranteed death benefits, level premiums, cash and loan values, and portability (the option to maintain coverage if you leave or retire from Kent State University), as well as the opportunity to increase coverage during the annual open re-enrollment periods.
Each employee will have the opportunity, as scheduled by your manager, to meet during working hours.
