Shana Lee
Biography
Position:
I am the Director for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion Leadership. In my role, I lead and execute diversity and inclusion efforts designed to promote pluralistic understanding and mutual respect internally and externally with various university departments, campuses and community groups. My position also involves directly assisting the Associate Vice President with high level projects and serving on various university committees.
Experience:
Prior to my role as Director for Diversity and Inclusion Leadership, I served as the director for the Student Multicultural Center for 17 years overseeing the needs of our campus’ underrepresented student groups.
Favorite place on the Kent campus:
My favorite place is the Student Center. As the campus epicenter, there is always something going on there.
Best advice for students:
My advice to students is to take full advantage of all that Kent State has to offer. We provide students a multitude of possibilities- studying abroad, creating a student organization, starting an enterprise, etc. No dream is too small to begin here and we are willing to help you achieve it!
