Computer Engineering Technology - Minor

The Computer Engineering Technology minor provides the foundation for students to study the design of network systems, telecommunications systems, networking hardware and computer hardware engineering and architecture technologies. Students have the opportunity to conceptualize, develop and analyze requirements engineering specifications for practical systems.

Minor in Computer Engineering Technology

Kent State University’s Minor in Computer Engineering Technology allows students to acquire basic applied knowledge of cybersecurity, computer hardware, networking hardware and information technology security.

Admissions for Computer Engineering Technology - Minor

Admission Requirements

Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.
