Richard Hassler, Ed.D.
Biography
Richard Hassler, Ed.D is lead faculty for the Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering Technology programs.
Dr. Richard Hassler joined the College of Aeronautics and Engineering as an assistant professor specializing in mechatronics and is a career educator in secondary and post-
secondary education. His professional achievements include industry certifications in production robotics, hydraulics, automation systems, and is a Certified Production Technician through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council. Dr. Hassler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Specialized Studies from Ohio University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University. He conducts independent educational research and is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor with a commercial pilot’s certificate, an instrument rating for both single and multi-engine aircraft, and is remote pilot certified.
