Kent State University's Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a non-tenure-track position in mathematics. The appointment is to begin August 18, 2013.
Candidates are required to have a master’s degree in mathematics or mathematics education; a doctorate is strongly preferred. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in innovative curricular development, especially in the general area of college algebra, with experience in running programs to mentor and guide beginning graduate students in the classroom, and with a proven record of effectiveness in teaching.
Kent State University is a spacious, residential campus. It is situated in a small university town within 30 miles of the major metropolitan area of Cleveland, Ohio. The Department of Mathematical Sciences is in the College of Arts and Sciences and houses programs from the developmental level through the doctoral level in pure and applied mathematics.
