Biography

April is a PhD student focused on working women, activism and reform, and turn of the twentieth century power relations, society and culture. More specifically, she is currently researching women in the radical labor movement of the early twentieth century, their activism, and the reactionary violence from the state against these women.

She received her MA in History from East Texas A&M University and her BA in History from the University of North Texas. She taught advanced academics History in a public high school for 15 years before forcing her husband and dog to move to Ohio to pursue this chapter of her career.
