Biography

While teaching a wide range of history courses, I have been interested in doing research and writing in modern Chinese history and U.S.-China relations, especially educational and cultural interactions between the two nations. I have published a number of books, journal articles, book chapters, encyclopedia essays, and book reviews. My current research focuses mostly on educational and cultural relations between the United States, China, and Taiwan during and after the Cold War.

Publications

  • U.S.- China Educational Exchange: State, Society, and Intercultural Relations, 1905-1950, Rutgers University Press (December 2007)
