Biography
Dr. Gene Stebbins came to Kent State University in 1969 to teach television production. He developed the areas of broadcast news and broadcast law within the School and served as advisor to TV2 for 15 years. He retired from teaching in 1999 after 38 years of teaching at the college level.
In retirement, he has enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
The Dr. Gene Stebbins/Alumni Council Scholarship supports a JMC student who intends to pursue a career in broadcasting.
