Students found many ways to enjoy the summer-like days this week.

As part of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design’s senior-year curriculum, interior design faculty require their students to design a community-based project, teaching them how to become design advocates for diverse populations that usually differ from themselves.

Students can try samples of gluten-free and plant-based foods at a vendor showcase today. 

Each year colleges and universities across the country recognize the importance of the student work experience during National Student Employment Week. Here at Kent State, we celebrate Student Employee Appreciation Week and dedicate this week to celebrating and recognizing on-campus student employees.

Career Exploration and Development hosted its first Student Employee Awards Celebration to kick off Kent State University’s Student Employee Appreciation Week.

Two Kent State Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) cadets, will be spending their summer immersed in an experience propelling them into a career with the Army.

Kent State alumna Courtney Flickinger, ’20, has been using communication skills to advocate for aging populations since her senior year of college. This semester, she’s sharing her knowledge and experiences with students in two Communication Studies courses.

Runway of Dreams at Kent State was founded in the spring of 2021 by current president Bri Cummings, a senior fashion design and fashion merchandising major. The club partners with the Runway of Dreams Foundation to raise awareness of the need for adaptive clothing.
