School of Art Tour Day

The School of Art Tour Day includes a presentation about the majors in the School of Art (Studio Art, Art History and Art Education) as well as information about study abroad opportunities, faculty mentoring and professional academic advising, scholarships and more. Committing to a college is a big deal. Since we want you to be sure the School of Fashion at Kent State University is right for you, we encourage you to plan a visit to campus. The School of Fashion at Kent State University welcomes future students to participate in one of our fall information sessions. During these sessions, our academic advisors will review the majors, course curriculum, and detailed information about study away and internship opportunities. Registration for the remote and face to face information sessions will be posted here as they become available. Formal information sessions resume this fall with dates and registration also listed below.

Discover Theatre and Dance Days

The School of Theatre and Dance's Discover Theatre and Dance Days are information sessions that provide a comprehensive overview of the School of Theatre and Dance at Kent State University. Attendees will meet Theatre and Dance faculty and current students, and will receive information on our majors in Dance Performance, Dance Studies Design Technology and Production, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Studies. Discover Theatre visits will resume in the fall.

BFA Design Technology Open House
The BFA Design Tech Open House allows prospective students to experience all the Theatre Design and Technology paths at Kent State have to offer. Students attending this event will also receive a complimentary ticket to our show Head Over Heels at 7:30pm

The School of Music Open House is a visitation program for high school students, transfer students, parents and teachers. This year, the School of Music Open House will happen on Tuesday, November 8th. Participants will be able to meet current faculty in their areas of interest and get to know some current students, tips for college level auditions, and much more. The Glauser School of Music sponsors an on-site music clinic for area youth music groups, the Fab Friday series, in cooperation with the Division of Bands and the Department of Music Education at Kent State University. Fab Friday programs offer the opportunity for young students to bring instrumental music groups to the Glauser School to work with the conducting staff, applied faculty, graduate assistants and current music students.

Music Sample Lesson Day is a comprehensive program for prospective high school junior, senior and college transfer students interested in being music majors or minors. This program offers attendees the opportunity to take a sample lesson on your main instrument and connect with School of Music faculty in your area of interest.
