CAE Safety Conference
The annual Safety Conference hosted by Kent State University's College of Aeronautics and Engineering and the Kent State University's Precision Flight Team connects students and aeronautics industry experts in an evening event of lecture, discussion, and Q&A.
Please join us for our annual Safety Conference, connecting students and aeronautics industry experts in an all-day networking event filled with lectures and Q&A sessions. The speaker sessions are constructed to bring together varying experiences with aviation safety to provide many perspectives on the importance of aviation safety.
This year's Safety Conference was held Friday, April 19 from 10:00am - 6:00pm in the Aeronautics and Engineering Building.
Students, aviation enthusiasts and the general public will learn about aeronautics and engineering job safety from industry professional and real-life experiences.
This event is managed by Kent State University's Precision Flight Team.
This event is free and open to the public.
Guest Speaker: Greg Feith
Gregory Feith is a former National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Senior Air Safety Investigator and “Go-Team” Captain. He has investigated well over 2500 general aviation, business/corporate and air transport (commercial air carrier) aircraft incidents and accidents worldwide during his 41 years as an aircraft accident investigator, Air Safety Consultant and Aviation Safety Expert.
As a safety advocate, Greg sits on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) and the Aviation Emergency Response Organization (AERO), he conducts safety lectures world-wide, and was recently awarded the Distinguished Statesman of Aviation by the National Aeronautic Association. He regularly appears in a variety of aviation safety-related television programs such as MAYDAY, Seconds to Disaster, and Why Airplanes Crash that air on the Discovery channel, TLC, the History Channel, National Geographic, and MSNBC.
