The Kent State Salem Horticulture Club is celebrating Earth Day by holding a plant sale on campus from noon to 6 p.m. on April 22.
The public is invited to shop among a variety of vegetable, herbal and ornamental plants that will be displayed in the parking lot of the Salem Campus, located at 2491 St. Route 45 South. Sales are by cash or check.
"Get ready to add some greenery to your life! Don't miss out on this chance to enhance your living space with the beauty of nature," said Dr. Sheren Farag, assistant professor and director of the horticulture program at Kent State Salem.
She noted that there will be a variety of plants for sale (while supplies last) that include tomato, squash, pepper, cucumber, spinach, melon, some herbs (basil, parsley, cilantro, dill, rosemary, mint, thyme, oregano, sage) and ornamental plants.
