Kent State Tuscarawas Launches 2020 for the Future Campaign
For Kent State University at Tuscarawas students, the future is now! You can make a difference for local students by joining the Tuscarawas County University Foundation as it launches the 2020 impact campaign For the Future.
Beginning this month, the community can make the future forever brighter for Kent State Tuscarawas students by supporting local education. Sally O’Donnell, retired from First Federal Community Bank and university trustee and foundation board member, and Kurt Shelley, of FabOhio and university foundation board member, will lead this year’s campaign.
Performing Arts Center Hosts Artober LIVE!
With the Performing Arts Center’s first indoor event since March, the spotlight will be on the entire arts community in Tuscarawas County. Partnering with Tuscarawas Arts Partnership, the Performing Arts Center will host a fundraising concert which will highlight the impact the pandemic has had on the local arts community. Artober LIVE! is scheduled for Saturday, October 17 at Performing Arts Center at Kent State University - Tuscarawas at 7:30 p.m.
Longtime Kent State Tuscarawas Trustee Roger Lile Retires
After serving 41 years on the Kent State University at Tuscarawas Branch District Board of Trustees, Roger Lile will retire as of Sept. 30, 2020. A retired Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Judge, Lile has served on the Board of Trustees since 1979 and has held several offices, including Fiscal Officer, Vice Chairman and Chairman. Since 1998, he has been a member of the Tuscarawas County University Foundation, serving both as vice president and president.
Nursing Faculty Selected by OADN as Fellow
Kent State University at Tuscarawas Associate Professor of Nursing Dr. Denise M. McEnroe-Petitte, has been selected for induction into the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) Academy for Associate Degree Nursing (AADN).
OADN celebrates all fellows of the AADN and their remarkable contributions to students, faculty, patients, communities, and the nurse leaders of tomorrow. Dr. McEnroe-Petitte will be officially designated during the OADN 2020 Virtual Town Hall meeting at a later date.
