Continuing Education for Individuals

Continuing Education for Individuals

Kent State University at Tuscarawas enjoys a long tradition of extending educational opportunities and services to people who live and work in Tuscarawas Valley communities. As the portal to the university for professional and personal enrichment, Business and Community Services provides access to courses, programs and skills to enable you to achieve your goal.  Our community of learners, ranging in age from 6 to 80, includes many of Ohio's major organizations, and are engaged in the classroom, at the work site, and through online learning. Whether you want to move up in your career, change careers, hone your skills through a certificate program, or pursue a personal interest, Kent State Tuscarawas is for you!  We invite you to explore our website, and wish you success in your lifelong learning journey.

ACCESS Program

Through the ACCESS program, participants can take undergraduate credit courses on a noncredit basis.  People in business and the professions may enroll in courses to expand their skills and knowledge without formally being admitted to the University for a degree program.   ACCESS enrollment is on a space-available basis only and students must meet course prerequisites. Completed work is recognized, though not graded, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded, provided the student has attended 70 percent of the class sessions.  An ACCESS student will not be able to take credit by examination after taking a course for noncredit.  Cost for ACCESS enrollment is 70 percent of the current tuition fee.
