John Hwang, PharmD
Biography
Dr. John Hwang is an adjunct faculty member in the Division of Pre-Clinical Sciences at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Hwang earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry from Kent State University before going on to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) in 2013. Hwang has assisted in distributing medical supplies for countries in need through his volunteer work with MedWish International, and currently serves as a pharmacist at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Hwang has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, including the Pharmacy Diversity and Leadership Award from the National Science Foundation for his research experience for undergraduate scholars. He belongs to the American Pharmacists Association as well as the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, and is a Certified Basic Life Support Provider.
