Rachel E. Johnson, D.P.M.
Biography
Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor in the Division of Clinical Sciences at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM). She graduated from Marshall University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and again from St. Mary's School of Nursing/ Marshall University with an Associates in Nursing, passing her NCLEX and becoming a Registered Nurse in 2002. After completing her RN program, Dr. Johnson worked at St. Mary's Medical Center in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit until she began to matriculate at the former Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (OCPM). She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from OCPM in 2008, and completed a Podiatric Medical and Surgical 36-month residency at the University Hospitals- Richmond Medical Center/ OCPM Program in 2011. She later completed a Fellowship in Wound Care/ Infectious Disease in 2012. Dr. Johnson became board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine in 2013.
Dr. Johnson currently co-coordinates the Podiatric Medicine/ Biomechanics 3rd year rotation at the Midtown Clinic location. She coordinates and lectures in Podiatric Medicine 1 & 2, and also coordinates Senior Experience. Dr. Johnson is currently the KSUCPM Faculty Council Secretary and serves on the Admissions Review Committee.
